MochaBelle and MochaMale Look of the Day: Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon

Rating: Like It/Leave It

Mariah has been channeling her Vision of Love look lately and is showcasing it here with a tight brown and black belt that accentuates her figure. She looks great and I am still amazed at the progress she has made as an actress in the movie Precious

Nick, on the other hand, does not look his best in this suit. When did her start wearing suites exclusively anyway? Nevertheless, this outfit is not tailored to fit him, so it looks a little unkempt although the color is nice.

365 Everday Value Shower Gel

365 Everyday Value Citrus Grapefruit Body Wash

After a short trip to Whole Foods yesterday for some kinky-curly hair products, I couldn't resist browsing through the rest of the beauty product aisle. I realized that not all organic things are astronomically priced. Often times I have avoided Whole Foods and other specialty stores because I assumed the prices would be out of my range.

However, I found this shower gel (and other products) that were considerably cheaper than what you would find in Duane Reade or any other convenient store. This bottle of shower gel was 4.99 for 32 oz! The smell was great and after I finish using my current shower gel I will definitely stock up on this product.

They had several other products like lotions, shampoos and conditioners that were inexpensive but were made of good quality products.

Goes to show you that you can't judge a book by looking at the cover!

MochaBelle Look of the Day: Paula Patton

Rating: Love It

This definitely takes the little black dress to another level. Paula Patton (at the premiere of Precious in NYC) looks great. The girlies look like they are spilling out, but overall she looks great with the coiffed hair-do and minimal jewelry.

Movie Review: Precious

Rating: Love It

This movie was incredible. I was really sold by every actor in the movie. From Mo'Nique's portrayal of an insecure, abusive mother to Mariah Carey's role as a social worker. I would like to have seen a little more plot development in some areas, but according to one of my friends, the movie was nearly identical to the book. The acting was amazing, I couldn't believe how convincing each actor was!

I fell in love with Precious and the struggles she faced to battle illiteracy, incest, sexual and physical abuse.

This movie is not for the faint of heart, but has some funny moments (and has included one of my actor friends from NYU)

MochaBelle Look of the Day: Melanie Fiona

Rating: Like It

I am clearly in a rocky chick phase with the last view postings, but I am in love with this rocker-glam look at the moment. Melanie Fiona, the amazing songstress that I am in love with right now, looks great! Here she is doing a little promo for her album The Bridge at a Carol's Daughter store in Atlanta.

The boots and leggings are a deadly combo this season and Melanie rounds the outfit out with a nice neutral gray color that plays up her skin tone.

I like this look, what about you?

Melanie Fiona--The Bridge

This Canadian born, Guyanese singer/songwriter is amazing! I am truly blown away by her vocal prowess and really like her vibe. I need to get her album ASAP so this can be in my i-pod on my morning commute. Here are some clips of her and some street performers in NYC performing some songs off her album.

Metallic Nail Polish

This Fall is all about metallic nail polish! Deep reds were so last season, but are still cute for the Fall. This year, deep blues and plums are popular and can be purchased at an affordable price.

If you have a more conservative job and are not able to wear outrageous colors, try a nice French Manicure Pink color. I like the N.Y.C. brand Sheer French Manicure.

Check out the colors from the N.Y.C. Line In a New York Color Minute, they are cute, affordable, quick drying and come in a wide variety of colors to choose from

Some colors that I am feeling include:

1) Opi-Russian Navy

2) N.Y.C.-West Village

3) N.Y.C.-Chinatown

4) Nars-Midnight Express

MochaBelle Look of the Day: Vanessa and Angela Simmons

Rating: Like It

After the launch of their Pastry's shoe line, these MochaBelles have been rocking extra trendy fabulousness in the streets of L.A. This rocker-glam look is really in for the Fall and I am loving how everyone puts their own spin on it with various accessories.

The deep red nail polish that Vanessa is wearing is popular this winter, but I want us MochaBelles to push the envelope a little. I want us to wear some metallic colors on our nails.

Overall, I am loving the look ladies!

Victoria's Secret Lip Gloss--I Want Candy

Rating: Love It

It is really hard to find a lip gloss that gives you the right pink look without making you look like a child playing with lip-gloss from a Barbie kit or ashy lipped from a gloss that is too light. However, I have found a gloss that makes your lips look amazing and won't break the bank.

Victoria's Secret I Want Candy lip gloss is truly a great weapon to have in your winter arsenal because it makes your lips look great. The only problem is that I rarely see it in stores since it is really a great buy! You can buy it online and I have seen the price reduced to $3.
